Any of you dudes watch Apocalypto? I thought it was pretty good except for how contrived some parts are just for them to happen.

The end was dumb. "Oh look, it's the Spanish! Let's assume they're gods and let them dominate our continents." Just have a certain sense of deus ex machina to it.

I didn't have a real problem with that part.

I'm kind of confused about all the characters Mel Jew Gibson forgot about like the kids or the old woman who never got sold. What happened to her? If she died in the streets as a free peasant or something at least tell me.

I'm sure that they, like most of the Mayan people of the society, wound up with their hearts being carved out. If you wish for a "fluffier" ending then maybe they lived on long enough to be infected by European disease (I'm rooting for syphillus, if you know what I mean) and went on to die a slower death.

Wouldn't they die faster WITH a deadly disease?

Deadly means it's only capable of killing. Sort of the same as saying that life is deadly because eventually it's going to end, these diseases are just turning it up to 11. Personally I think having your heart carved out is even more deadly than say ebola since it's more of an instantaneous effect.

No disease --> live to 40

Disease --> live to 35

How does this not make sense?!
