Watching Full Metal Jacket and I like it a hell of a lot more than Kubrick's other movies but I haven't seen past first hour yet so I don't know if Kubrick shits all over it.

Don't know what to watch tomorrow though. KEVIN SORBO VERSUS THE MINOTAUR or that movie about a Taxi Driver that apparently keeps the Russians from taking over christmas. LEND ME YOUR ENCYCLOPEDIAC BRAIN DICK SUGGESTIONS PEOPLE [people being chrisp because he is the sole mutant survivor of this post-apocalyptically empty forum]

Greetings fellow mutant. How are those new additional arms treating you. Totally brings fondling yourself to a whole new level, right? Did we all know that the apocalypse would focus this much around digital manipulation? No. Are we glad that it does? A resounding hell yes is in order.

That's a difficult question that you've posed. On the one hand you get to see the pre-mutated manliness that is Kevin Sorbo's chest for prolonged periods, and on the other you could be motivated to fall in love with the nearly 50 year old (and possibly dyke-ish) Jodie Foster in her 14 year old body (I find blindfolds help when confronting the difference between celluloid and reality). The true perk of this is of course being convinced that she wants you to assassinate Reagan which can only lead to a fulfilling day of digging up cemetary plots while awkwardly trying to make sure that the gun you tucked in your pants doesn't go off like other premature things in your life. After this you take a couple close range pot shots at the deceased and phone up your lady in waiting for your accolades.

In the end I had to go with the one that will give you the most fulfillment over the long run (always a concern in these days of dwindling populations in the Polkout forum). Sure you could get so wet that you would slip right out of your seat while watching Kevin Sorbo be himself, but what about when the credits roll? Where are you then? Desperatly lusting after a slice of manliness that you know is more than you could ever handle? No! I say watch Taxi Driver and be left with a mission. Double kill Reagan, which I'm sure has become a zombie following the radioactive rapture. And if Reagan hasn't come back to life in his coffin, well, we'll just keep that between ourselves and you lie to Ms. Foster. You lie like the dickens.

That was a pretty good movie but after the shootout I don't quite get. Just seemed really convenient for him to be some "hero"

The psychotics of society are our greatest heroes. They're willing to do superhuman tasks because we don't view them as human, so they don't deem it necessary to operate within our social restrictions. But in all truth I haven't seen the movie in a few years. Despite commiting murder numerous times and in no way being able to claim it was self defense it is kind of odd that he is classified as a hero. My best guess is that it's a critique of New York during that time period. They're so desperate to cleanse the filth out of the city that they elevate a psychotic taxi driver with some guns to the level of hero because he was willing to pull a Punisher.

Polk, you live in New York. And I'm certain that you've seen Taxi Driver. What's your take?

It's seen rarely in the wild. These sightings are so rare due to the thick coat of chromatophorus fur that allows this majestic creature to blend into many diverse areas: urban areas, forested areas, his own forum.

Taxi Driver is one of my favorite movies ever. I wrote a paper about it that pretty much made a point similar to the one you're making. In a crazy world of fucked up people, you've got to be a psychotic motherfucker to succeed.

Also the movie's totally about busting a nut.

Apparently MIB3 and The Three Stooges are actual movies being unleashed onto the unwary public.

Apparently they're planning on doing it like a series of three 30 minute episodes, but chaining them together for movie length. As a small plus Sophia Vergara will be in it and she is insanely hot.
